Terms of Use

1. Service description

Closee is a mobile dating app that lets users meet people nearby. It offers features such as profile creation, distance-based discovery, swipe / matching, and messaging between matches. The service is provided through a Flutter app and Supabase infrastructure.

These Terms of Use apply to anyone who downloads, creates an account for, or uses Closee. By using the app, you are deemed to accept these terms.

2. Age limit (18+)

Closee is open only to people aged 18 or older. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older. Accounts that do not meet the age requirement may be closed.

3. Account responsibility

Regarding your account:

• You must provide accurate and up-to-date information.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
• If you notice unauthorized use of your account, notify info.closeeapp@gmail.com.
• Impersonating someone else or creating a fake account is prohibited.

4. Acceptable use / prohibited conduct

The following are prohibited, including but not limited to:

• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or discriminatory behavior
• Creating fake, misleading, or someone else’s profile
• Sharing illegal content; material involving child abuse, violence, or sexual exploitation
• Spam, fraud, phishing, or unsolicited commercial messages
• Collecting or selling other users’ data without permission
• Attempting to compromise the app’s security or abuse it with automation / bots
• Attempting to contact minors or encouraging such contact

If rule-breaking behavior is detected, we may issue a warning, remove content, temporarily suspend, or permanently close the account.

5. Content and photo responsibility

Your profile photos and other content you share belong to you; by uploading them, you grant Closee a limited, worldwide, royalty-free right to use them as needed to provide and promote the service (e.g. showing your profile to other users).

You may upload only content you own or are authorized to share. Nudity, pornography, violence, or illegal images are prohibited. Inappropriate content may be removed.

6. Matching and messaging rules

• A match forms through mutual interest (e.g. mutual likes); a match is not guaranteed.
• Be respectful when messaging; non-consensual sexual content, persistent contact, or harassment is prohibited.
• If other users bother you, use block / report mechanisms; report serious violations to us.
• Closee is not responsible for meetings or relationships that result from user interactions; take your own safety precautions.

7. Paid features

Closee is currently offered with its core features. Paid subscriptions or in-app purchases may be added later. If paid features are offered, pricing, renewal, and cancellation terms will be explained in the app and under the relevant store (App Store / Google Play) rules. For payments made through a store, Apple’s or Google’s payment and refund policies apply.

8. Suspension / account deletion

If you violate these terms, create legal risk, or threaten the security of the service, we may suspend or terminate your account.

You may delete your account at any time via in-app settings (where available) or by email. Steps, deleted and retained data types, and timeframes are explained on the Closee account deletion page. For requests: info.closeeapp@gmail.com (subject: Hesap Silme Talebi / Account Deletion Request). Processing of data after deletion is handled under the Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

Closee is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation or compatibility on all devices. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including data loss, lost profits, reputational harm, etc.).

Closee cannot be held responsible for disputes between users, meetings, or third-party actions. Mandatory consumer rights are reserved.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. For disputes, Turkish courts and enforcement offices have jurisdiction; mandatory consumer rights and jurisdiction rules are reserved.
