Child Safety Standards (CSAE / CSAM)

This page sets out Closee’s published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). It is publicly available under the Google Play Child Safety Standards Policy.

1. Scope and age limit

Closee is a dating app for people who are 18 or older only. Closee is not directed at children; we do not knowingly allow users under 18 to create accounts.

  • An 18+ check using date of birth is applied during account / profile setup.
  • Accounts that misrepresent age or are found to belong to minors are closed; related data is deleted or made inaccessible in line with our privacy policy.

2. Zero tolerance

Closee has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexual content involving minors, or any conduct that promotes the exploitation of minors.

Prohibited examples include, without limitation:

  • Presence of people under 18 on the platform, or portraying someone as under 18
  • Creating, sharing, soliciting, or storing CSAM / child abuse content
  • Sexual chat, coercion, or exploitation directed at minors
  • Directing users to or encouraging such content

Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent account termination.

3. Prevention and safety measures

Closee applies, or is in the process of applying, the following measures:

  • Age restriction: 18+ requirement and profile verification steps
  • User reporting: In-app user / content reports
  • Review: Review of reported accounts and content
  • Enforcement: Warnings, content removal, temporary or permanent bans, account deletion
  • Access restriction: Immediate restriction of an account when a violation is suspected

4. Reporting and review process

Users can report child safety or exploitation concerns through the in-app report flow.

Reports are reviewed with priority. Where needed, related accounts are suspended and content is removed.

5. Reporting to authorities

Closee commits to complying with applicable regional and national laws. Where there is reasonable suspicion or detection of CSAM or child abuse, we report to or cooperate with competent authorities as required by law.

Subject to legal obligations, user safety and compliance with the law are priorities.

These standards may be updated from time to time. The current text is always published on this page. Material changes update the “Last updated” date.
